David Henig, Ph.D.

David is lecturer in the School of Anthropology and Conservation, University of Kent in Canterbury. David focuses on religious and economic aspects of vernacular Islam in the Balkans and Central Asia. His interests also include informal economic practices, postsocialist transformation, human-waste interactions situated in specific spaces, and application of information technologies in social anthropology.
